Since the birth of my second child I've hunted to find ways to cut out wasted time and wasted stress. In the early days I created a menu so anyone visiting would know what to take out of the freezer and I wouldn't have to think about anything as I stumbled through the sleep deprived haze that hovers around life with two under-2s.

When our six weeks' worth of frozen, healthy meals ran out I found I'd rather enjoyed knowing what I had to cook and not having that frantic panic at 5 o'clock diving through half-starved cupboards to rustle up something healthy for dinner.  So I started looking for recipes online, for foods that would inspire our tastebuds after living on chicken stew, spag bol, cottage pie, pasties and salmon pies for six weeks.

The online recipe selection is astonishing. In the last two years there have certainly been a range of favourites that come out time and again, but there are far more delious one-offs that wow us. Equally astonishing, however, is that I have yet to stumble upon a weekly menu and shopping list already done that appeals to me (there seem to be precious few to chose from in the first place), so I've started my own.

Every week I will add my weekly menu, with shopping list to http://weekly-menus.blogspot.com/ and am probably likely to review a couple of the meals when I'm meant to be doing something infinitely more important...Like cooking!

I'd appreciate your feedback too - did you like any of the meals? What would you do differently to the recipe? Have you got an amazing recipe I need to try (I do hope so!). Please add critically friendly comments and maybe we could have something of a treasure trove on our hands.
